Providing counseling services for individuals, couples and families in Wayne and the surrounding communities. I work with all age groups and can address issues including anxiety, depression, school issues, adjustment disorders, abuse and trauma, grief and loss, eating disorders and addictions to name a few.
I have acquired additional training in the areas of trauma and attachment as well as creative/ expressive interventions. I have participated in advocacy work with clients on the local, state and national level. I work to provide support for each individual to identify and help meet even their needs. People face many challenges throughout life and I believe that through counseling one can find the help to make changes in their lives, and can renew hope now and for the future.
I received my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees from Wayne State College. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Nebraska Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota, an international honor society that promotes professional excellence as well as provides opportunities for professional development to remain current in the field of counseling. I believe it is important to gain knowledge and continue to strive to be knowledgeable about changes happening in the field of counseling as well as participate in research whenever possible. I have had the opportunity to present research at the ACA national conference in Montreal Canada that looked specifically at retention rates for counselors in rural Nebraska. These organizations and opportunities have helped me understand what it means to work in a rural setting and serve my community.
